Side Mirror Repair & Replacement
A clipped mirror is both a legal and a practical problem: you cannot see the lane beside you, and a loose housing lets water into the electrics. What looks like one part is usually three — the glass, the housing, and the motor or fold assembly behind it.
We identify which of those actually failed before ordering, because the difference between a glass-only panel and a full assembly is most of the cost. Power fold, heat, turn-signal repeaters and blind-spot indicators all get tested after installation.
When a mirror needs attention
- Cracked or missing mirror glass
- A housing that is cracked, loose, or hanging on the fold spring
- A mirror that will not adjust, will not fold, or folds on its own
- Mirror heat or turn signal that stopped working after a knock
- A blind-spot warning light that no longer comes on
Worth knowing
Can just the mirror glass be replaced?
Often, yes — the glass panel snaps onto the existing backing plate when the housing and motor are sound. That is the cheapest version of the repair.
How long does a mirror take to arrive?
Common housings are often same-day or next-day. Less common trims and heated or power-fold assemblies can take a few days, and we tell you the real lead time before you commit.
How the job goes
- Step 01
Identify the failure
Glass, housing, motor or wiring. We test the electrics before ordering so the right part is bought once.
- Step 02
Install
Glass panels are set on the original backing plate; full assemblies are fitted with the wiring reconnected and the fold mechanism re-timed.
- Step 03
Verify
Heat, adjustment, fold, repeater and blind-spot functions are all checked with the car running before it goes back to you.
